On Nov. 16, Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka City co-hosted the F Cube Innovation event in Fukuoka City in an effort to facilitate collaboration among the companies involved in the International Financial City plan. The objective is to build relationships between local startups and domestic and foreign investors as well as between local companies and domestic and foreign fintech companies. Going forward, business talks between visitors and participating companies will be held to accelerate the attraction of companies to the area. In Fukuoka, the public-private consortium Team Fukuoka is working to attract companies that will play a role in international financial functions by establishing funds, promoting fintech, and support for business continuity planning (BCP).
