"Startup Visa" Expanded Nationwide
The Japanese government has expanded the scope of the "Startup Visa" program for foreign entrepreneurs from 15 designated municipalities to nationwide coverage starting in January. The program grants a two-year grace period for fulfilling visa requirements, enabling international students to prepare for entrepreneurship without immediately establishing an office. This change aims to alleviate initial financial pressures, allowing resources to be allocated to investment rather than upfront capital.
